Shaking When Hungry

I have been having this problem for years. Everytime I go to the doctor I get a clean bill of health, so I guess it is just my weirdo body acting weird.

Anyway if I don't eat within a certain time after I get hungry I start to shake. Its not like I start shaking right away though. I have plenty of time to order a sandwich (if I am out) or finish a television show, etc. I do not eat right away when I feel hungry, but once I start to feel myself shake I know I should eat something right away. Any ideas of why this is happeneing?

I pretty much have this whole thing controlled. I make to eat something at different intervals during the day. That has really seemed to help and keeps me from getting so hungry that shake.

The only problem is when I am at work. My boss does not give breaks; you work through your meals. So if you get your lunch out and then it starts to get busy, you can forget about eating. Luckily I usually work with a friend who understands that once the shaking starts I have to eat, but sometimes it takes two of us to get the job done.

Like I said, as long as I keep eating at those intervals or do not wait to long when I feel hungry I am good to go. I only have a problem when I forced to work when I need to be eating.

Thanks
KD

I have this same problem, along with severe lightheadedness. The doctor just looks at my blood glucose and says it is fine, but I know something's out of whack. If my lunch break is delayed by even half an hour, I'm in a bad way.

have you have your blood sugars checked? Have you been checked for diabetes? The shaking like that is a sign that your blood sugar has gotten low, because when you eat, you have balanced it again and you feel normal... just a thought,.

hi kd86, just thought i would let you know i had the very same symptoms for quite a few years , my fasting blood tests were always normal, then i started to have really bad shakes then i went back to my gp,i went to see a diabetic specialist who did a fasting glucose test ,not very nice blood taken every half hour for 4hrs,it was then i was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia i had to change my whole diet, no sugary things cakes biscuits sweets chocolate ect it has been very hard and if i stick to my diet im fine ,maybe an idea to ask your gp if this is what it might be, best of luck, jules.
