Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! "Super Scary Movie Night" Talkback (Spoilers)

I turned on Kids WB! today to see if there might have been a new episode of the show, and luckily, there was! I was able to catch this and noticed that since there hasn't been a talkback thread for this just yet, I would go ahead and start one here.

A few spoilers are behind the cut.

Roby spruces up Shaggy and Scooby's entertainment room with a supped-up entertainment system that includes "Robi-Vision" -- what you see comes to life. Dr. Phibes creates a DVD movie with real monsters that jump out of Shag and Scoob's new entertainment system and cause havoc on the mansion. Phibes eventually calls his two agents to break into their home to take the DVD back so that these same monsters can be used to rule the world.

I thought this was a pretty decent episode. The episode brings Shaggy and Scooby back to their original roots. A nice touch was to see the two finally be able to confront their fears in an attempt to defeat the monsters on their own.

I felt like there could have been a few more Phibes moments thrown in there for humor, but all-in-all, I felt this episode was a very interesting episode.

I noticed the error upon making this post, but still being a newbie to the board's posting functions, I was not sure where to find this function. My apologies for the mistake.

If you could show me how to do the spoiler cuts, it would be much appreciated. It'll greatly help me fix this error.

Thanks a bunch.

This was a good ep. I thought. It seems like Shagg and Scoob's experience in dealing with scary monsters all those years really paid off. Near the end, I thought it would be to be continued since it was within the last few minutes of the show that Shagg and Scoob of Phibes' plan. I also liked this line...

Phibes: There's a 'but,' isn't there? You always have a big butt.

Then the guy turns around to look at his butt. That was a good one.

Okay. I guess I didn't really give away any spoilers here, but I wanted to see if I could learn how to do that. Lol.

Amusing enough episode (even with the flatulence jokes for that pig :-p ).

- The first time Scoob and Shag have had a run-in with Dracula (albeit not the "real" one in this episode's case) since "Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf".

- Was half-expecting (or rather, half-hoping-for) some Digital Millennium Copyright Act joke regarding Phibes copying his DVD like that. :-p

- More irony of Shaggy and Scooby (supreme cowards they are) being horror film fans (see: several episodes of "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" where they liked watching Count Shockula, a horror movie host)...

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. It is a bit weird for cowards like Shagg and Scoob to like monster movies. Of course we've all seen 'A Pup Named Scooby-Doo,' so we know that it isn't the first time. I guess it's not too much of a stretch for cowardly people to like horror movies as long as they know that they're not real. Also, Shaggy and Scooby are actually pretty brave in this series compared to the earlier shows. I guess since they've had so much experience in dealing with everything Phibes had done to them, they know that monster movies would be nothing compared to that. Lol.
