All I have seen is the first episode because I hated it. It totally lost the classic feel. They ruined it.

1. No classic corny cartoon humor
2. Villians not in costumes
3. No Velma, Fred, or Daphnie
4. Bad animation

1. The humor's still kind of corny, but the show got lightyears better after the initial few episodes. Robi is a nice addition to the Scobby Universe.

2. Phibe's is actually a fun villain. Evil and you can laugh at him, even if he's not pretending to be a monster. Phibes and his henchmen remind me a lot of the Monarch and his henchmen, only more suited for a kid's show.

3. They show up on occasion, just not as often as they should. They should have been in the season 1 finale, but for some reason weren't.

4. I'd have less of a problem with the animation if the characters actually had eyes as opposed to black dots. Other than that, the new designs have kind of grown on me.

I actually like it more than I thought it would. But then I also liked "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo", so I think I tend to favor Scooby shows that put a twist into the same old formula, because after a while the same old "meddling kids" thing does get stale.

The only real difference is that they now have a recurring villain, kind of like 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo. Plus, Scoob and Shag aren't really afraid of Phibes and his henchmen, as they are just as bumbling as they are.

It was an ok episode, but I wonder if anybody besides me noticed that in one scene Dr. Trebla, Phibes assistant's hair came off a bit and under Dr. Trebla's black hair you could see a haircut similar to Uncle Albert's hair. I wonder if sometime later in the season they'll reveal that Dr. Trebla is really Uncle Albert in disguise, I mean how else could the supposedly missing Uncle Albert know so much about Phibes' plan unless he was working for Phibes but in disguise.

I noticed that part, my guess is that they will reveal it soon. Like maybe in the season two series finale or season three. Any ways people this is the place to talk about the series two episode one, not to discuss how much you hate the show. Please do that some where else and let the fans discuss the episode, thank you.

Wow! I never caught that. I mean, I have heard before that 'Trebla' was 'Albert' backwards, but I thought it was just a coinsidence. So could it be Albert working undercover for Dr. Phibes when he's really trying to help Shagg and Scoob? I wouldn't think so because the appearance and the voice is different. I'd like to find out more on this.

Personally, I thought the episode was okay though. I liked Shagg and Scoob's plan to bribe everyone with free food to keep them away from the rides when Phibes had sabatoged them. It's hard to believe billions of people would fall for that, just like Shaggy and Scooby would. Not everyone is as crazy as they are. Lol.

There were also two other things:

- In the first episode, Phibes introduces Trebla to Shaggy & Scoob, the indication being that Trebla started working for Phibes at the same time that Uncle Albert vanished.

- In 'Pole to Pole', when Phibes sets off the device to shut off the world's power supply, you see Trebla curling his fist in anger just before he asks "What have you done?" in an angry tone before he gets back into character.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check for that in future episodes. I guess his disguise keeps him from looking like Albert, but it's the voice that really got me. I know Casey voices Albert, but it might be someone else as Trebla disguising his voice. I might want to check on that again.

I've actually noticed that too when I watched the eps towards the ends of the last season. They didn't have too many new talkback threads. I have thought of starting my own a few times, but I'm not always as interested in this one as I am interested in other Scooby series. I don't always have much to say. It seems like this show just isn't as popular as "Family Guy" or other shows that have talkback threads. Still it's good to have these up so we can post our thoughts on what we have seen.

I finally watched this (I recorded on my DVR). I didn't like the first season at all and only watched a few episodes. I am also not a fan of Shaggy's voice in these episodes. I guess I am just use to the others. Anyway, this episode was pretty good. I actually enjoyed it more then the first season, so lets hope they stay enjoyable. I still don't like Shaggy's voice though.

I wouldn't bother, since every attempt to discuss this show is inevitably hijacked by people whining about how it's "lost that classic feel" and "ruined Scooby". Usually the same people who whined about Scooby as a franchise being repetitive in the first place. It's a lost cause to actually try and talk about the content of the episode itself.

I enjoyed this episode, too. Besides building on the Dr. Trebla revelation a bit, it had some fun stuff for the villains, and let's face it, Phibes & Co. are the funniest part of the show.

I disagree with that. Whenever I post on a topic, I discuss what happens in the episode. I'll admit it's not my favorite Scooby series, but I stay up to date on what's going on. Besides for those who said this show "ruined Scooby," I don't think so. After all, now we have "Chill Out, Scooby-Doo," the latest DTV. Of course I've only seen ads for this so far. But I've noticed in that one, the characters look how their supposed to look. Plus I think Casey voiced Shaggy there. So the Scooby we know certainly isn't good for good. Just thought I'd comment on that.

I agree, I don't care for the show, but it doesn't ruin the Scooby franchise for me. I have seen worse, the early 80's Scooby Doo series were worse in my opinion, it didn't ruin Scooby Doo at all. I just don't watch it, and watch the Scooby shows and movies that I like.
