A special study into the sexual prowess of couples found that women who undergo pre-wedding counseling were more satisfied in the marital bedroom.
But men who don't attend counseling are more satisfied in bed.
The study pitted 36 couples who underwent sessions of premarital sex counseling against 35 who made love without the tips.
The findings, published in the CSIRO journal Sexual Health, reported that the sessions reduced fear and reluctance in the bedroom.
"Through its ability to address and remove fear and misunderstanding and the resulting sexual reluctance and related problems, premarital sexual education and counseling can contribute to sexual satisfaction," the researchers said.
Almost 81 per cent of women who attended the sessions had a "problem-free sexual life", compared to their non-counseled counterparts of which 77 per cent had a similar result.
