why is it hidden from the children? is "exploitation" techniques used to control their impulsive behaviors after becoming of age or old enough to be molested or discovering their own sexuality with no guidance, but penalties for mistakes or sexually immoral acts? why is it not taught in the public schools?

Because Christians think that our genitalia are vestigial organs until we're married. They believe that sex is some dirty, perverted act practiced in dark alleys behind bars by vagrants with track marks and tattoos covering their arms.

I think it is incredibly important for kids who are nearing puberty to be aware of these things, and that it's not something bad, but rather something that is best reserved for when they are older and more responsible (notice, I did not say "married." That notion is idiotic.) Having children who are completely ignorant of sex is what leads to teen pregnancy.

It shouldn't be hidden. Parents should teach their kids so that they won't make mistakes. You know, they could hear wrong information from other kids at school even before they are taught sex ed.

Because kids should enjoy being kids while they have the opportunity to do so; childhood goes fast. When they're adults, then they should worry about sex. Impossible or not, a kid should focus on being a kid while it lasts.

That became my point of view, once I grew up.
