is it wrong/ dangerous to have sex whilst on a period? will it make me bleed any heavier? i have a higher sex drive whilst on!

however, be sure to use a condom. while there is a lesser risk of pregnancy during menstruation, there is a higher risk of pelvic infection if your partner has an STD--this is because the cervix opens a little more than usual to let the blood out, which can also allow STDs in more easily.

It is not dangerous at all....just a little messy. Could actually help with cramps. Isnt "wrong"...but "wrong" is based on peoples perseptions of things, so some people may say that it is. And many women do have a higher sex drive on their period because of hormone levels....as long as both you and your partner have no problem, then go for it.
Also look at this.....is a menstral cup that you are supposed to be able to have clean sex on your period with (havent tried it yet).....sits against your cervex like a diaghram (but is in no way birth control). I have just switched to menstral cups and will never go back to tampons, but even if you dont prefer them over tampons like I do, could still be good to use for the sex.

Some women do have desire to have sex during periods. Thats a very normal phenomenon. Nothing wrong with this. please go ahead. Its in mind and has nothing to do with the conditions.

There is no medical reason why it is unsafe or unhealthy to do so. Many women including myself experience an increase in sexual drive whilst menstruating, even though the idea is quite illogical...Dr Frank always complies with my desires.

no it's perfectly fine to have sex on your period. It feels a little weird though and a lot of men don't like it. Make sure you put an old towel under your bum cos it's messy!
