sex vs driving,booze and poll voting?

i am curious...why is it ok to have sex at 16(in the uk)but not ok to drive,drink,vote until 18(in the uk)?
 
Sex is free and can be done without anyone knowing, the laws for voting, drinking and driving can be a strict limit and are preventable. In Aus it's the same, except the driving law is 17. I geuss sex is also aloud younger because it seems more reasonable and just gives kids an idea of when they should consider it.
 
Yeah, I know what you meant. There are similar asinine rules here in the states. You can die for your country at 18, but you can't drink alcohol?

You can drive at 17 and drink at 16 (with a meal) and younger (age 5+) in your own home with parents permission, in the uk.
 
i personally think is wrong to have sex at 16 no matter what country your in. 16 is too young, 18-19 when person are more mature not so bad.
 
i dont think sex, drink or driving should be allowed until 18
but i think cigerettes should still be allowed to be brought at 16, and i also think you should be allowed to vote at 16
