I am raising my nephew, he is 14 years old. He has started asking for condoms, and even asked if it was possible to have sex.....in the EAR. I am his aunt and only 27 years old so I feel that "the talk" will be very awkward for him. I do not think that telling him to abstain will be effective either. I know he is likely to experiment, and I just want him to be safe and educated about it.
Can you recommend any BOOK titles? I am looking for a book that explains what happens to the male body as it matures, and has a strong emphasis on safe sex, a book with nasty photos of STD's would be great(scare him into using condoms)! Hopefully it would include things like explaining that the rhythm and withdraw method are NOT effective in preventing pregnancy.
