I'm currently 18 weeks along in my pregnancy and unlike what ALL my friends told me when I first found out, my sex drive hasn't dropped off at all... in fact, its hit overdrive. My husband seems totally oblivious and disinterested in sex. Prior to this we had sex maybe once a week - now if I go more than two days I go nuts. I tried to make it out to be something good, after all guys always talk about 'getting some every night' but when we get home - nothing. If we do it at all, I HAVE to instigate it... he seems perfectly happy to let our sex life drop. What should I do? I've tried to talk to him about it (we already have a fairly diverse sex life so its not that we do the same thing every time) but he just ignores me.

Maybe He's Just respecting your condition :)

But..If you think it's that necessary, Let him know..
hopefully he'll understand
:)

you need to turn him on...try something different like oral from the back?? do something to make his soldiers wanna fight!
good luck

Ah that is exactly what my partner has been doing! It drives me nuts. He says it's a bit weird to have sex now. It's almost like a turn off to him I think. He says that he especially doesn't like to do normal missionary because he feels like the baby is just chillin between us haha!!! I guess I see where he is coming from but it hurts my feelings.

well, i'll tell you you're lucky your drive hasn't slowed down yet...it might later in the pregnancy. i'm the complete opposite of you...i have NO intention whatsoever to have sex because i just can't get in the mood. but i'm also 32 weeks along...sometimes guys get weirded out about having sex while pregnant...ask him to read books or on the internet that it in fact is very normal and very safe to have sex while pregnant UNLESS you are having complications. my sister's husband was scared to have sex with her while she was pregnant, and my husband really likes it(but i can't get in the mood :( blah). good luck!

Think of it this way,

Would YOU want to have sex with someone that had a little baby inside?

Talk to him.Thats all you can do.Open up to him, and if hes a good husband, he'll talk to you and explain why!

Well from experience your husband is gonna act like this because for some odd reason men think that having sex while their wives or girlfriends are pregnant is dangerous. You can still have sex like how you were before it will not affect the baby. Now when some women get pregnant they have a crazy sex drive like you do or their sex cravings just fail. Maybe what you need to do is take your husband to a counselor or your doctor so he can hear it from a professional that sex during pregnancies is perfectly normal. Maybe he should enjoy it now, he can have as much sex as he wants while your sex drive is sky high but, if you do take my advice don't let your sex life drop because then you would be adding on to your mood swings.

Although I've never been pregnant, I can see why you're asking this question. Normally guys want "it" all the time but that seems to not be the case. I doubt I'm doing much to help but he might not be that turned on by you in your pregnant state. So maybe just do your best to get his attention and ask him what he would like for you to do.

I am right there with you! My sex drive has gone into high gear since becoming pregnant. I've never had this problem with my husband, but some men really are turned off by their pregnant wives, for lots of reasons. The most popular of which is the fear that they'll do something to hurt the baby. I would have your husband go to the doctor with you on your next appointment and talk about the safety of having sex during your pregnancy. Maybe with a little more assurance that he's not going to hurt the baby things will get better. Also, if the baby bump is the issue maybe you should try changing positions. Choose one that doesn't put the baby in the forefront, like doggy-style.
