i was just wondering.
my friend told me her dad said that a condom works ALWAYS, unless it like rips. like that if you use a condom that you're probably NOT going to get pregnant unless something seriously goes wrong.
and she has done it quite a few times, with a condom but no birth control and has never gotten pregnant. and she has also done it without at few times.
so if you use a condom but are not on birth control is it more than likely that you will get pregnant, or will you be fine?

Neither condoms nor birth control pills are 100% always going to work. So thats why you should think it through before you have sex. They are like 99% effective so be careful.

Well as your friends father said, a condom is pretty much the safe way to go. Using birth control as a back up in the event the condom should rip will certainly lessen the probability of getting pregnant.

But to answer your question: Yes, you're more likely to get pregnant if you don't you birth control and the condom rips.

Using another birth control method, such as the pill or shot will decrease the odds of pregnancy. Condoms alone are good if you use them ALL OF THE TIME. But since we're all human, this is not the case. The more intimate you become with your partner, the more likely you are to skip using a condom. Or what if you both really want to and are out of condoms? If you want to make sure you don't get pregnant, get on birth control. You should still use condoms to protect yourself from HIV/AIDS, as well as venereal diseases.
