Hey everyone--
For the past two months or so, I have been dealing with alot of congestion and a slight cough. The congestion has been in my throat and nose and was most prominent when i wokeup, alot of HARD mucus coating my tongue and roof of my mouth, and thick mucus in my nose. I would even spit out thick yellow mucus in the morning from my throat. The reason why I never worried about it was because it was only during the morning, I figured it was just builtup from overnight. Sometimes, when I ate breakfast right away, I couldnt taste either!!
Now, as for my cough, it never gives me a sore throat, and its not a painful cough. Its like a slight tickle to the back of my mouth. I cough mostly at night, before bed, only to get rid of the tickle. Sometimes it comes in the morning, but that has more to do with the mucus mentioned prior. Are these two problems connected somehow? Now, my MAJOR concern is that the past couple of days, I have woken up in the morning to SEVER dry mouth. The inside of my cheeks shriveled, my tongue feeling like sand paper, etc. What does this all have to do with?!? A few things I should mention: Ive always been a mouth breather, so that cant be it. I wear a retainer at night, figured it might be my retainer so I took it out afew nights and the same stuff happened, I drink alot of fluids, and sometimes my urine in the morning is bright yellow. Which is a sign of dehydration, But im definitely not!!
What are your thoughts?
