Hi here is something else a person might try I would obtain the following:
I would use tea tree oil lozenges 4 times a day. I would also get Geranium, jewelweed flowers, plantain, chickweed, black walnut, witch hazel leaf, fennel seed, peppermint, lavender, and fresh living aloe vera plants. I would heat about one quart of water to boiling then as soon as it boils I would turn off the heat. I would take about a tablespoon of each herb except the aloe and put it in the hot water. I would let it steep for 20 minutes then I would take the juice from several leaves of the aloe and add it. A juicer could be used, a garlic press might work or gently scrape the inside of the leaves with a knife making sure it all falls into the pot of herbs stir well then using a fine strainer or even cloth strain out the herbs allowing the water to pour into another clean pot.
When the tea has been sufficiently cooled I would take a wash cloth that has been boiled or at least ironed to sterilize and dried ahead of time, then dip the cloth in the tea and apply it on the skin. I would use it as often as needed. In my opinion the skin must be allowed to dry and stay dry in between applications. I would try a hair dryer a few minutes after application.
A salve might also be made using almost the same method but adding a vegan butter to it and letting the tea water boil out of the salve using a 2 quart pan if possible to avoid splattering onto stove or oneself as water boils out. (As always with any type of fat cooking fire safety with an extinguisher nearby must be observed. Children should not be allowed near this process so hot oil does not splatter on or a pot spilled on them) After the water boils out of it and it stops sputtering pretty much it can be put in an appropriate size glass container and cooled and then refrigerated to solidify. However, I am not sure it would be quite as effective as a tea might only because sometimes too much heat destroys the properties of herbs and not enough heat will keep it from coming out. Sometimes herbs in the past have been soaked in olive oil for days or weeks and then strained and applied. If one method does not work the other can be tried the herbs in oil can be started while the other is used until then if a person wanted to.
I would never use prednisone that some people use it can lower the immune system and cause terrible problems in the end. A person makes their own choices at all times however.
