Severe back pain from gym routine?

Hi -

I suffer from Sciatica and 3 days ago my gym trainer made me do bar squats with really heavy weight. in my third rep I complained about my back but he made me go on. The next day I woke up with excruciating back pain that lessened during the day but was there. This Morning I woke up to a very stiff back and I could hardly move or sleep. I had to sleep on my side and little movement put me through a lot of pain. I am at work now and still in a lot of pain.

Could you please advise how I can make my back feel better? Is it wise to go back to the gym to stretch it out?
