Seven with Brad pitt & Morgan Freeman

I been keeping an eye out for this on terrestrial and Sky but not spotted it as yet. Been a while since i saw it at the cinema I thought I should watch it again before buying a copy. UnfortunatlyI notice it is not on Blue ray:confused:

This is one of my favourite films been meaning to pick it up on DVD for ages myself, Pitt and Spacey put in cracking performances and it's one of the best films David Fincher's worked on

A truly great movie.

The scene at the end where they are in the field, and Somerset opens the box and see's what's inside is a great cinematic moment.

All the more so because you do not see what is inside box...you don't need to. But the music strikes up this ominous, repeated chord that just grips you like a vice. The camera the starts whipping around between the three main protagonists and the tension becomes heightened.

Somerset knows what is going to happen, he knows's John Doe's masterplan and he must keep Mills from seeing what is inside the box...because he knows it will destroy him, and it will lead to an inevitable conclusion that John Doe is anticipating, and has indeed orchestrated from the very start.

Second best serial killer film of all time IMHO behind The Silence Of The Lambs, I'd say well worth picking up on DVD for a few quid, if only to be able to watch it without ad breaks (iirc it's usually shown on Channel 4), and I don't expect it's the kind of film that'll be BluRayed any time soon.

Wasn't Doe's plan from the start though, I have no idea how his original plan would have played out, we obviously see the start of his plan but this had to change midway once Mills and Somerset latch onto him, it changes to involve David, the moment is in the film when he is pointing the gun at DaviRAB head but spares him, pretty much the point I figure where Doe changed his plan.

It's one of the greatest films ever made if you ask me.

I'd like to see it again, too. I quite like the Saw series, which are sometimes described as a poor imitation of Seven. Certainly they are flawed and don't have anyone with the stature of Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey or David Fincher, but I'd like to see Seven again to make a more informed comparison.

Great film. It really kick-started David Fincher's career after the disappointment of Alien 3.

His latest film, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, is also tipped to be a really good film.

One of my favourite films. I adore both Morgan Freeman (what a legend) and Kevin Spacey (Detectivvveee :D).

I bought the 2 disc set a few years ago for

I love "Seven". Awesome film. I bought the Region 1 special edition DVD 'cos at the time the only Region 2 version was some basic one-disc version with no extras apart from a trailer. I'd love it to come out on Blu-ray.
