so my professor gave us this example and i just dont know how he set up the equations, first i thought he did if by subtracting the given coordinates but the last value never does not match my results. here is the problem.
point A = (6,7,0)
Point B = (2,8,-2)
Point C= (-3,7,5)
Origin = (0,5,0)
force (F) pointing down = 500N
so the load = -500j
now he sets up three equations where i have the only problem, i know how he gets the denominator because that is the magnitude..he gets:
sum of the F=0
1st equation = 6a/sqrt(40) + 2b/sqrt(17) - 3c/sqrt(38) = 0
2nd equation = 2a/sqrt(40) + 3b/sqrt(17) + 2c/sqrt(38) = +500
3rd equation = 0 - 2b/sqrt(17) - 5c/sqrt (38) = 0
