This sounds like basically Seth MacFarlane's version of Robot Chicken. About time he did this, I say. This sounds more promising to me than yet another sitcom about a family.
Well I didn't know if he meant "Writing" as a comment or "Writing" as a cartoon. Besides, there's endless amount of writers who have more talent in them as Seth, yet they aren't as popular. Popularity has nothing to do with how good you are, popularity is about how many people like you.
The first video I thought, "Okay, someone's trying to be funny with Family Guy cutaways"...and then I realized I hadn't seen them before. Then it turned out to be REAL?!?!
So, basically they're making exclusive cutaways for the internet with Burger King ads showing up every now and then. Actually, this is kinda neat. Is this the first professionally animated show exclusively for the internet? (besides the bomb that was that Stewie/Brian late night thingy)...
Talent is kind of subjective, though. I think I've heard people refer to Jackson Publick as talented, but most people really don't find Venture Brothers to be that funny. In some ways Seth McFarlane is more talented than Jackson Publick because he knows how to appeal to a larger audience. I mean, would you say a comedian who only makes ten people laugh is more talented than a comedian who makes one hundred people laugh? Probably not.
Making people laugh is easy. I mean, sometimes just passing wind can do it. The real challenge is how creative you can be in making them laugh. True wit makes you both laugh AND think. As long as so many don't want to exercise that and instead just be presented with the pleasing familiar, comedy will stagnate.
The term "horse face" has been tossed around frequently regarding not only her, but other female celebs like Chelsea Handler, Lisa Ling, Hilary Swank, etc. Not my opinion, but just what I've read and heard regarding jokes.
