Service error

I think I'm with 2WheelerGlider on this one.

It should have been the service writer or managers responsibility to tell the tech not to change the oil.

MY GOD! OIL IS A *RELIGION*, don't they know that?! That *WRONG OIL* will rot your perfect motor, corrode your frame, fog your instruments, flatten your tires, & make your seat lumpy! There's only *ONE* solution! They *must* replace your bike!

At the presentation ceremony for your new bike the service tech should be placed against the building & executed by a firing squad! The service writer must be fired, & the dealership burnt to the ground! How could they possibly think admitting a mistake & not charging you for it would be enough?!

Or, you could thank them for their honesty & just ride the damn thing.....

Just ride it. Geez. You might really need their help someday. Sure, they were wrong, but making an ass out of yourself won't help the situation. Really man, if you can change your own oil, you can service everything else. Then you KNOW it is done right.

You wouldn't think much, but I do notice a difference. Seems like a different bike with the synthetic, quicker. I just like it.
I changed it back tonight on my own. Never know when I might need these guys so decided let it go.

I decided to let it go. The thing that bothered me most though is that they were not honest. They didn't tell me when I checked out and the oil change wasn't on the service statement. I guess from their perspective they didn't know about me running someting else and thought no problem on the mistake, just don't charge him.

Anyway got a chance to compare.
