I just need to vent my frustrations. Maybe some of you allergy sufferers can help or give some advise. I used to live down south where I always suffered from hay fever, ichy skin, hives, asthma. I moved to the northwest about 4 years ago and haven't had any real problems untill recently. I actually had to fly back down south for a week to handle some family issues, I had no problems while I was there. But once I flew back to the west that very night I got home. I began itchy exccessivley and breaking into hives, I couldn't breath and had to use my albuteral inhaile. Since then I have been itching countinuely and having problems breathing especially in the middle of the night. I can't shake it. It is driving me crazy. The only relief that I get is by taking benedryl every night but it is making me very groggy. I recently started taking zyertec. Don't really know if it's helping any. My mom says my hives and itching is due to stress. I smoke so that may have something to do with my breathing problems. But my real problem is trying to figure out why I am still itching, everywhere I scratch leaves huges welps. My whole body is red and inflammed from head to toe, even in private areas. I just want to scream or cry or jump off an darn bridge!!!!! does anyone have any advise it not oh well I guess I will just continue to suffer. If I go get a round of steroiRAB and the doctor could this possible help. The doctors never really seemed to be able to help before. It's been years sice its been this bad.

Hi TMomma! Sorry you are feeling so bad. I have had frienRAB have the same thing happen. The hive thing is a mystery. I had them once that bad after taking Immodium AD. I had to have a steriod shot and lots of Benadryl for a week. I knew for sure I was allergic to that specific thing. It's frustrating though when you get those and you don't know where they are coming from. I too am really itchy alot. I have tons allergies but I think my itching thing is due to hormone changes and stress.

Hang in there! Have you been allergy tested? Might be a good idea if you haven't already done so.
