Thanks, I have some 20thousand iu's to use up but I took down the nurabers. It averages out to be 19.99 a bottle, I'm sure there's shipping though. I found some 20's for under 5bucks a bottle, 60 in a bottle. I think the 90thou.iu's was a better deal, don't have to take as many.

One thing I have noticed so far. I get really bad sinus problems when the golden rod pollinates this time of year. I spent almost all day outside on Saturday and didn't have much of a problem for the first time in many years. Usually I'm fighting a terrible headache from sinus problems. Happy about it for sure. I'm glad there is another post on this product. Very interested in all your comments. It sounded to me that some have to up their doses to get the effect, once the inflammation is reduced you can decrease the amount. If this isn't helping their may be more going on in the joints, you may have a rip in a ligament or something? Have you had this checked out art?

Good luck finding out what is wrong Scraggy, I hope it helps your sweety. I'm waiting to take it also till I can get the cheaper stuff to take in the mornings on an empty stomach, waiting around a 1/2hr before I eat anything. I'll take it with my thyroid pill. I figure the expensive one I'll take at night has the coating on it so it will at least go into the intestines before digesting, just in case there is any food left to digest. I can't find the higher dose ones at all in the states. Can only find the 20,000. IU 's here.

I was hoping if a higher dose was needed for my sister, which I'm sure she will need it, she wouldn't have to take so many. But so far it's looking like that is the way to go. Soon we will both be starting it too. Hope it works for you and Dave, keep in touch. Diana

Gee -Wise --Well Thank you!!

The cleaning of plaque in arteries & veins is Chelation Therapy that is done with IV EDTA.
CoQ10 is good for circulation and have taken it for years -- best is a softgel instead of power type of caps.

I also contacted them and did get an email saying they were going to consult to find out why I got stomach reaction, but then they never got back to me again. I think it may be that the stomach has to be quite empty before taking, and although at least two hours after food, and at least half an hour before food should do it sometimes it isn't enough because of digestion variation.
I am continuing with it but it certainly doesn't act quickly. After two months of continually taking serrapeptase it may be easing my neck pain and may be it takes at least 3 months or more to ease the knee and hip. I'd like to know if anyone knows if it really works.

Jeanie,
Everything I've read says it's safe in high doses. One article said someone was taking 17 a day with no ill effects and no problem with other meRAB.

Your taking this for the same reason I was, and it did help a lot with sinus problems I get every year at this time. Well I get them though out the year at times.

Once this really starts to clear things up for you, you could try cutting back a bit, a week at a time, this way you'll know if you have to stay on a higher dose or if a lower one still keeps you opened up.

My sinus problems aren't what you'd say...really bad, just pressure, some headache, and ears that plug and pop a lot.

I ran out of my silkworm, it's on order now. I found a company that sells it at 90,000 thou. IU's per cap for 21.00, 60caps per bottle, this is a relief because before all I could find was 20thou. IU's per cap. and it was a lot more exensive.

I was taking 5, 20thou IU's in the morning on an empty stomach. Are you taking it on an empty stomach? You should be for it to work in the body, if you take it with any food in your system it just works on digestion and that's it.

There are a lot of studies and articles if you do a search. It's fairly new to the USA, has been studied in other country's around 30 years. Post back and keep us updated on your progress. Some need that extra at the beginning, once you get things cleared up then you can use less. Diana

Hi There,

Just shown my consultant the enzyme and he's all for it especially after an operation . Well done drs, he knew nothing about it!!

Hi All,

Trying to find out more info about this stuff!
Art you're the only 1 I've found who knows about it in the UK. Is it licenced over here, did u get your doc's advice, did u buy on line?
No-one seems to have heard about it Boots, Holland and Barrett no-1. Will really be interested to hear your answers. It sounRAB a brilliant drug but money is v tight so I'm not sure whether I need to take it before surgery to help problems, v bad back pain, ibs, endometriosis, bladder problems or not.
It's v confusing about dosage too.
Nice to see another post on here about it though, was just going to set 1 up myself.
Take care all, I appreciate every1 posting experiences with it, it does help a newbie make her mind up :-)
Scraggy

Well, I started taking it while I was sick with the flu...within 30 minutes my headache was gone as was every ache in my body along with the irritation in my throat and my swollen glanRAB...I've had problems with my digestive system and pains during BMs and no doctor has ever figured out exactly what the problem is or why I always have pains...since I've started taking the serrapeptase, I've had absolutely no pain or discomfort in the bathroom...I've also had a pinched nerve in my shoulder blade area for the last 11 years and my back is always tense to the point of being painful...again, no more of any of that since taking it. My man had some major dental work done and none of the painkillers he had were working, but the serrapeptase worked almost instantly. He also has really bad arthritis in his knees and hanRAB and it's helped with that as well.
This stuff is supposed to help out the blood flow and clear up clots and heal scar tissue among a ton of other things...I don't know exactly how or why, but it's been so helpful for so many things, we've just ordered a few more bottles of it. It is a natural enzyme so it's safe to take everyday and the kind I have is even safe for children and animals. I don't know why more people don't know about this.

Hi Every1

Started taking it last night, hoping the effects are instant but realistically know I'll have to wait a while until I can tell whether its helping pain and its going to be difficult to know what its doing to scar tissue unless the pain levels are effected.
Hope it helps every1 who takes it x

Scraggy are you see some improvement after your surgery? I started a new post on General Health, don't want to lose you on here. Diana

I tried serrapeptase for 5 days, 60,000 units, enteric coated, on an empty stomach, half hour before food minimum, and then I got strange pains in my stomach the next two days, and then that night horrible acid reflux in y throat so I've stopped taking serrapeptase? Anyone else have side-effects?
Could it be that it was because I was also taking Strontium Ranelate for osteopenia in the evening?
I have stopped both for the time being. But serra[peptase has had such glowing reports I wish I could take it.
Any advice?

Found your new post Diana, we both opened a thread the same day! We always seem to just miss each other. Anyway I'm using yours. More on your post.

Scraggy,
At least you have a doctor that is open minded when it comes to something other than prescription drugs. Some doc's won't even look into it at all, hocus pocus to most. Where do they think prescription drugs come from....natural base substances that's where.

So are you going to start taking this after your surgery or have you started already. It sounded like you've started this stuff in your earlier posts. It may not be able to do too much for you yet since your riddled with growth problems inside and possibly scar tissues on top of everything else. If nothing else right now at least it's cleaning out your blood. That will help your immune system and hopefully keep you from getting any virus's that are going around. You don't need that too.

Your problem is so concentrated in your body that I'm sure it would take a long time to get a positive affect that you could notice.

The silkworm digests non-living tissue, I wonder if your fibrous tissue is living or non living. It does help with blood clots because it sweeps out the dead proteins and thins the blood a bit. I read that it helps break down cyst, I'm wondering if that is considered a non-living tissue? The best part is that is suppose to reduce inflammation. Your problems Scraggy are so severe that I'm sure it just does what ever it can in your system, this is why your not noticing much yet. It took a long time for your system to get this bad, it will take a long time to fix unless you have the surgery.

I'm hoping the recent MRI tells the doctor something, I know in some of your other posts that most times it's hard to see your type of problem on an MRI.

Keep me posted. Glad to see your still checking in occasionally.

I think a lot more people are now learning about this product. From a retailer's perspective, we market a large nuraber of items, but serrapeptase has been and continues to be our most popular product by far, and we very often see repeat buyers who have been pleased with their results.

This is meant to help endometriosis isn't it. I read in an endo book that another enzyme can make it a lot worse, just a little concerned as my pain is rough :-(

Just wanted you to know My Sister is taking this stuff too, she can notice that she isn't doing as good when she has to cut back do to needing another bottle, I order it and she pays me, this way I can order enough so we don't have to pay shipping. I'm sure with all you went through you would be having lot's of scar tissue issues without the silk worm doing it's thing. You don't need that too! After My sister in law had her hyst. she had a ton of scar tissue that enveloped her intestines, she had to have a laperoscopy to have it removed, very painful stuff as you know well. I'm going to try to post to you soon on the other board, I'm right in the middle of redoing 4 different rooms. I figured I've been painting since July! My poor wrists, I need a chiropractor visit as soon as I'm done doing all the redo's. Talk soon, Diana

P.S. Thanks so much for finding my posts. Lots' of catching up to do.

I got a response back but it was so generic, just said it would be ok on my stomach, redirected me to their website and gave these directions

SerraEzyme 80,000IU take 2 x 2 30mins before meals or on waking and at bedtime.

Question though....it says that their capsules are enteric coated? is it a caplet? or the ingredients in the capsule are enteric coated? I tried vioxx when it was out and it didn't hurt my stomach...just had lower GI upset

Scraggy, Yes it's really good for endometriosis, it eats fibrin, that is what endo is made up of. Sorry your still feeling so badly. Huggs. Diana
