Theist: God is real
Atheist: May I have evidence of this god you speak of?
Theist: ...............

When you make a claim you have to support it with evidence, otherwise it is just an opinion......not a factual claim.

Theists have made many claims, and have not backed any of them up with any sort of evidence

Why is there even a debate about a god?
There is no evidence

Why is arriving at your conclusions through evidence so unpopular among humans, what is wrong with basing your conclusions off of actual evidence?

Generations of brainwashed parents are mindlessly brainwashing generations of offspring. It's all they know, because it's been drilled-in since birth. Call it "nurture", if you will.

why is there a debate about anything?

Athiest: this tomato is red

Scientist: actually we just pecieve the colors not absorbed, so it's actually everything but red, red is reflected into our eyes, which we're not exactly sure how they work because it's all based on sensation which is not a constant at all
but actually on the atomic level we don't have any explanation for anything and all science really confirms is that nothing is certain - just balancing likely outcomes - but also science says that our mere observation can change outcomes
and science is based on experiment which relies on repetition of events to determine outcome - but science also says that nothing is constant, from one moment to the next

therefore it sounds like there is really nothing at all in the world but faith

some choose to have none - others choose to have

The closest I can get to scientific proof.

Ah, but then that dirty little word, 'faith' enters the conversation and reason goes out the window. Good luck with this line of reasoning. Faith or anti-faith, what does it really matter when one maintains choice and does not attempt to transfer personal values onto another?
