I owned a copy of vista for nearly 3 months (i installed vista on my own) and i still DIDNT find a single bug or issue. For those of you know dont know, i am a serious power user and i do know how to use my computer and i do run multiple applications at once. I have built my pc with really nice specs and i NEVER had a single BSOD, crash, or any form of malware or problems. In fact, I'm basically finished with my old XP laptop. For some reason, all my old applications somehow work on my vista machine perfectly... so whats with all the hype that programs arent compatible with vista? And for the ram... the OS uses way less ram (and game ram usage goes up) when im running a high-system demanding game (crysis or Call of duty4)....

I dont understand, why is everyone saying vista sucks?

I totally agree with you.
I have Vista on my laptop and XP on my desktop. I never had any problems with Vista.
The only problem I found is the security warning before every change in configuration or installation. That may be a good thing too for security.
Over all Vista is great. It only takes sometime to get used to.

People just need something to gripe about - there will always be nay sayers, just ignore them.

Well, for one thing, many of the people who rant don't even own a copy of windows vista.

#2. They don't bother to research.
for example, this explains why there is somewhat more ram usage than XP but I doubt that many vista haters know this or even bother to research.

#3. They hear if from other people. If everyone says it, they assume, then they think it is true also and say vista sucks.
