Seriously messed up...

So I have a co-worker and friend who was robbed on christmas day.
He was at his mother's for Christmas dinner, and when he came home his bed was missing, along with some movies. I gave him a spare queen mattress I had lying around, and when we took it over there we learned he was also missing his acoustic guitar.

This guitar was valued at $20,000. In the eighties.

My friend is Italian. He grew up in Vegas.

I feel so sorry for the people that stole his shit. He is going to go by the pawn shops and the police station tomorrow, but I have a feeling he is going to deal with this himself. It won't be any fun for the parties involved, that is for sure.

Damn, must've been one helluva guitar.

He still has a chance to get it back though =/ Maybe the Police might possible.. .. somehow do something.

Sucks people in the world thieve..

This sounds like bullshit or late night boredom...and bullshit.

Your friend (who's Italian from Las Vegas - he like, knows people in the Syndicate *wink wink*) figures out he's been robbed and he doesn't find out until later that his $20,000 guitar is gone? Wouldn't that be the first fucking thing he looks for? Oh, and they stole his bed? Not a television, computer, or stereo...but his fucking bed? Get the fuck outta here.

You're drinking brake fluid, buddy.

And who the fuck steals a bed? People that B&E your house take shit they can carry or pawn easily. You can't carry a bed all that well and no pawn shop I've ever been in would take it. Thieves take shit like jewelery, guns, cash and electronics.

If indeed this is for real, I'd have to say that it's a message. Otherwise a burglar would have taken electronics like stereo receivers, tv's, game systems, computers, etc, not just a few movies.

Musical instruments are also high on the list, so I'm not that surprised about the guitar. I am, however, surprised to learn that the only other thing missing was an acoustic. These don't usually fetch as much money as they're often more difficult to play, difficult to run into a soundboard without a factory or after-market pickup, bulky, and not as "cool" as their polka-dotted flying-v electric counterparts (rep to anyone who catches the reference). Basically what that boils down to is: It was someone he knows, and someone who knows the value of the guitar.

EDIT: Unspun, that must've been one HELL of a comfortable couch.

He figures it's someone that knows him, since only his 'friends' knew he was leaving his apartment for christmas, and only a few people know the value of the accoustic. He has several electric guitars that were not touched, which means they knew something about the accoustic.

I feel sorry for whoever did it because this guy's an animal. He's going to fuck some shit up when he finds them.

I had several friends who stole couches, and one friend who stole a table. they were out of a common area at a college though, so it's not really that surprising. They wanted the comfyness of their favorite lounge in the privacy of their own homes.
