So my whole life it's been assumed that i'll graduate high school, go to college, and get a job and have a family etc.
But recently i've considered joining the military.
They pay for some of your schooling and you learn leadership/ life skills etc.
I just want to know if this is totally off the wall, and how much trouble girls have getting respect.
Also if i could email anyone that is in the army or was to ask a few questions or something it would be greatly appreciated.
What did you gain from being in the military, or why would/wouldn't you join?
Also i know i have a lot of potential like getting into some big colleges. By other choices are being a lawyer/doctor. I'm in AP/ all advanced classes. Mostly A's etc. and a lot of people talk like the armly is just for kids that aren't cut out for college. I was just wondering about that.

The Army is a great place to start and some even find a vocation within its ranks. Feel free to email me.

Its a good thing to do. You dont have to go to war, you will be sexy and in shape, you dont have to worry about the economy because you are the fed government employee. and you are not rich but you are a hell far away from poor. and they pay most of ur utilities. and you will have 1600 minimum in your pocket per month while getting a paid for education. Go sign up :()

I had all A's my senior year when I went to high school. I took Advanced Placement all across the board and did very well. I got into a nice private college and even played football for a year. I continued to attend college for ~4 years, and to be honest I am just now realizing it is NOT for me. (overall HS gpa was ~4.1 w/ 5 pt. scale --- 5 pt. is attained by taking ALL honors)

It is entirely up to you. I KNEW I was going to college the second I graduated. I didn't even look at the Armed Forces, but now? I can't wait to go. I HATE college, and everything it stands for. I've become so disheartened by the whole experience, but some people say I'm a weird/eccentric individual. It all depends on what YOU want. I hope you make the right choice, because not only am I waiting to become enlisted (long story) but I've incurred so much debt by making the wrong choice.

Good luck.

Well.... if you think you would hate college and want to get the heck out of dodge you can join the military now.

If you think you wouldn't hate being in college, I would pick one and got the ROTC route. Maybe AFROTC. You would get a taste of military life and see if you like it before you sign a contract. You would get your degree. They pay you a monthly stipend, and good money when you do your summer training. And you could get a scholarship to help pay for your school.

With your AP classes you can graduate quickly. With only one summer school session and 15 hours worth of AP credit I will graduate in under 3 years.

And when you graduate you will be an office and make a ton more money, and have a better quality of life.

But if you really don't want to do the college thing, check out your options in the military. Check out the different branches to see which you like the best and what jobs you think will suit you. Then make sure whatever you pick, everything you want is in the contract.
