serious question about poetry?????????

hi everyone, well, ive been thinking. I like writing poetry and im gonna be the first to admit it im NOT the BEST poet in the world. (very amatur) there was a time when i was gonna stop writing coz i thought i wasnt good at it. and im not great at rhyming poetry. BUT then i read some poems by famous poets like DH LAWENCE..and his ''snake'' poem is one of my fav poems HOWEVER..its not amazing and it doesnt ryhme and if anything its more of a short story. SO MY QUESTION is what makes people think there poems are good just coz they are now famous...i am gonna keep writing coz even though some will think mine are crapp there will be others that think there GREAT. ITs just made me think latley that even these supposedly great poems ARE NOT THAT AMAZING....thanks for raeding this if u did and i hope u understand what im saying x
