I am going to this big dance "camp" (CNADM) I guess you could call it. We have big time choreographers come to this hotel, and we have classes we go to throughout the day. I am suppose to have my period on this day, and the rule is that we are not aloud to wear shorts during ballet. These teachers are usually very very strict, so I could not image anyone pulling them aside, to ask them to wear shorts. I have always worn pads, but should I wear a tampon or something? Thanks(:
Oh, and also if I do try Tampons, I was wondering how often do I have to change them? And also the first time you try them do they hurt, or are they uncomfortable?

There is no "should" in a decision like this, but I can't see why anyone, especially a dancer, would ever bother wearing disgusting, annoying pads. Tampons really are a must for serious athletes/performers. You'll wonder how you ever got on without them.

Try tampons! They're really scary at first, so get your mom or experienced friend to help you. They are very comfortable and easy to use after the first few tries. Tampax Pearl is the best kind.

But if you REALLY don't like them, you get wear those ultra thin scented pads, and change them often.

Good luck!
