Sequels you'd like to see...

I'd love to see another Alien film, not an Alien vs Predator one (the next is due out in a few months), but a decent episode in the Alien series. With the special effects that are available now I'd like the Aliens to finally reach Earth and cause mayhem.

Apparently a Godfather 4 has actually been talked about seriously for about 10 years. At one point they were scouting for a novelist to write the book that would obviously be drafted into a screenplay.

Leo DiCaprio was wanted for the main Corleone character for the story set in present time.

I would love them to sort out the Highlander series!!!
I mean Highlander 1 was just an amazing film. Number 2 ruined it - total different story where the highlander was from another planet? Number 3 was ok... but how could it go from present day (highlander 1) to future (2) and back to present day? Then to ruin it all over again they merged the film with the Highlander TV series with that annoying guy?

They should have a PROPER Highlander 2!!

I'd like to see Tim Burton make the sequel to 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Roald Dahl's book was called 'Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator'

The Matrix 2. (What, you say it already exists? No... those weren't sequels, they were piles of crap that happened to have some of the same actors playing the same characters).

Completely agree. Would be great if they had Depp and the little guy who played Charlie in the elevator then changed it to the clay stuff like Corpse Bride but not so dark, kinda like James and the Giant peach since there are so many monsters and stuff in it. KniRAB was one I remember.

Although the end of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory would have to be forgotten since in the book they go straight out the factory into space I think, in the movie they were living in the factory.

matrix 4
a bugs life 2
back to the future 4
gremlins 3
wedding singer 2
waterboy 2

police acadamy was going into production but got cancelled at the back end of last year, theres still hope of a straight to dvd film been made and released in the near future!!!

:D Lets hope some Hollwood writers are reading.

Now a proper Lost Boys sequels called Lost Girls (vampire girls on bikes) and I'll be going to the cinema again more often.

Me too. I love the first film, and the think the second film was decent enough (highly flawed yes, awful like some fans like to claim, no) although the third film is 110% awful. It is so bad in fact that when I first got hold of the DVD trilogy boxset, the first thing I did was to toss disc 3 in the bin. That is why I hate sometimes that these studios do not make these films available separately. For instance, if I didn't already own it and were to come across Speed for 5.99 and a double feature with Speed 2 on the same disc for 3.99, I would buy the standalone DVD, because Speed 2 is tripe at its worst. I will not own a terrible film just to get the vastly superior original. If the discs were separate however that's fine, because I'd just do as I have already mentioned and bin the disc in question and keep it in a replacement CD case instead, unless I really wanted the artwork in which I would once again opt to buy the standalone disc.

It's so blatantly obvious that the Special Edition of RoboCop was only ever released initially by MGM as part of the trilogy boxset, because MGM knew nobody in their right mind would buy RoboCop 3 by itself, and rightly so.

RoboCop 2 may not be universally loved either, but I'd be hard pushed to find a die-hard fan that dared to put it in the same league of the dreck that is 3.

Peter Weller has even talked about doing another Robocop movie. Yes Weller is older but in RoboCop world that doesn't matter in the slightest because he would be under heavy makeup anyway. All you would need then is director of the original Paul Verhoeven back, a good story and more or less the same suit being used for Robo, with some minor changes if any. I personally don't think the RoboCop suit neeRAB changing at all. It still looks great today and hasn't dated at all. The only time it ever looked dated and cheesy was when they used it in that embarrassing TV show and mini-series, where due to the constraints of a TV budget they couldn't use the more expensive fibre glass, so the suit looked awful as a result. Robo went from looking like a cyborg, to merely a guy in a tacky rubber suit.

Lost Girls - sounRAB awesome!!

Id like a remake of Spawn with better characters and higher budget. Could be an amazing film!

Also a proper sequel to Starship Troopers with the same characters/actors as the first one.

The league of Extradrainary Gentlemen. There were rumors of another one which coinsided with H.G Wells - The War of the WorlRAB. I would of loved to off seen it but Connery doesn't want to act anymore. :(
