...from the military? Seems that it would be wrong to discriminate against one religion or another... and as the founders seemd to have envisioned the following:
- A Separation between Church and State.
- A Militia made up of the people rather than a standing Army.
So if in the US, we are to disregard the founders and actually have a standing army at all, why allow religion to get tangled up in it?
How can any truly devout religious person in the military, really be expected to function properly as a soldier, as they may be ordered to do things which run counter to their religion?
