...setting up guidelines or rules? My ex and I lived together for several years and in state of Texas that is common law married. I am now wanting to get some legal advice on what I can do to set guidelines or rules for both of us to follow to bring up our child in the best way possible. I would like for us to have time guidelines for people of the opposite sex, first right of refusal to watching our son, splitting up holidays fairly etc. What would I need to do to come up with a decree or court order? I've never gone through this and want to get a better understanding before I talk to a lawyer. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
