Hi guys. I just signed up with Cricket and have their Ascend Android phone. Its a ok phone, just trying ti figure out how to use Android.

I sent a text message to a landline phone number by mistake so I am getting these bounceback error messages about invalid number but there doesnt seem to be any way to stop it from trying to send. Ive received 10 of these within the last hour now. There doesnt even seem to be a OUTBOX to delete the message in the default messenger program on Android 2.1.

Anyone know how I can fix this and if there is a better text messsege program I can download for this?

Thanks!

Hi Remission and welcome to the AC Forums.

Inboxes and Outboxes are a relic from the 1990s.

Messages are threaded, which means they look like an actual conversation, and are sorted by contact name. Simply find the message thread (that'll be the contact or number you sent it to in the Messaging application), long press (that means hold your finger down on it for a few seconds) the message you sent, and select the delete option.
