Sensation and Perception: Why do roller coasters make you "feel the way you feel"?

Other than an endorphin high from the releasing of adrenaline into the body, why do roller coasters make people feel the way they feel when they ride them in relation to sensation and perception? (Assuming that they like roller coasters. I DO NOT want to know why people who are afraid of them are afraid or why they develop anxiety, i just need to know why they give people a thrill if there is anything else other than endorphin highs that cause this.)

Thanks
