Senior Citizens, did you ever go to summer camp or a ranch?

Did it have horses you could ride? What was the most fun you had at
your summer getaway? Did it last a week, or longer? Were you sad to
leave, or glad to go home? And did you have to earn your own money
to pay for the privilege to go on this outing?

Afraid not, born and raised on a farm, but getting away from all that work as a kid sounds like it would have been fun.

lots of camping trips and trips to ranches with girl scouts,which i was in till age 18 or 19.yes,there were horses.i had horses at home,too.never lived near an amusement park,but visited hershey chocolate town and disneyland with my troop.we went all over-from upstate new york,to wyoming.a very active troop.yes,we worked all winter long doing bake sales and so on to earn money for these ambitious summer trips.our leader was dynamic and took us everywhere!trips lasted about 2 weeks,the wyoming trips,longer.never was homesick-too much to see and do,plus my mom was an assistant and my mom and brother usually came with us.
