Sending Ringtones / Apps to Phone?

Is there any way to circumvent the lame Cricket Clicks ordering system to get apps and ringtones onto my UTStarcom CDM-7025 phone? I've tried using my phone's e-mail address, but everytime I send an attachment I get a message similar to the following: "Cricket is not participating in this event at this time." Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!
 
I suppose that'll work as a last resort, but that's still $25 I didn't want to spend. Anyone know if you can send .jar files to this phone? Specifically I want to install Opera Mini and an IM program.
