sending Mp3 to my phone

Ok well i no that i have to use a program to cut down an mp3 in order to make it short enought to be a ring tone. I'm using mp3 sound cutter but i was wondering what do i use to send the song to my nextel i 530. Do i just need the usb cable for my phone or do i need something else? Please let me know thanks.
