Sending contacts via BT stopped working!

Hi all,

I have been sending contacts from my Palm to my new phone a motorola v600. This worked fine for a few contacts. The palm now cant seem to connect (even though it does with dialler etc!). It justs hangs on "connecting to Motorola phone ...."

When I do a discovery the phone will not show up unless I do a find me on the phone.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this would have stopped working?

I have tried power off and back on with both devices.

Mine does this sometimes. However, I just had to restart the phone to make it work again.


On a realted note, have you found a way to send contacts via BT and have the phone list them as firstname only?

When I beam a name, let's say Brent Bell, it arrives on the phone as Bell Brent, and I'd rather it just say Brent. I want the full name on the Palm, though, becuase I have a lot more contacts on my palm than on my phone.
 
Got it sorted in the end, the init string changed back to the Original E0V1 ... from E1V1. It only works when its as this.

I just changed it back and hey presto.

Not sure about the phone only picking up the first name only though?

I shall have a play later and get back if I manage to discover anything. Can you sort the list by First name instead of surnames, this may help a bit?
