I dont mind aid
i think aid is a spillover from the tremendous wealth created by us. lets not kill the machine that produces that surplus quite yet.

but yea, corporate welfare needs to end.

I've been hit by people with Allstate insurance a total of 3 times. In each case, it was a HUGE pain in the ass dealing with them. They take forever to do anything with regards to payment, car rental, etc.

Not that this legislation really does anything, but I love how everybody thinks that keeping jobs here is going to shoot up the costs of everything. Where do you think these jobs were before they were outsourced? It's a fucking race to the bottom now, where the winner is the loser.

then switch banks
rather than relying on laws...why dont you just find a bank that you like?

You want to remove wasteful spending? STOP SENDING BILLIONS OF TAX DOLLARS OVER SEAS TO COUNTRIES WHO HATE US.

call centers in India and other parts of Asia are already starting to cost almost as much in wages as they do here. They only maintain existing call centers because it's more costly to shut them down, and they open new ones there because the start up costs are much less. However I agree that I have a right to know when I'm being transferred to some call center out of the country when it comes to anything dealing in sensitive information such as my banking or insurance.

AMERICANS HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHEN THEY MIGHT BE TALKING TO DIRTY FOREIGNERS

OH AND ARIZONA YOU ARE A BUNCH OF RACISTS

so american companies will just use prisoners to do call center duty - just like in that episode of Law & Order

I had to call Exquifax to have something fixed on my credit report once. Called back 3 times and got a indian call center with people using american names. Wasn't going to give them my SSN. I ended up doing it in writing, probably went there anyway .

in fact....giving money to people that hate us is a great way to help them and ourselves. we went to war with communism and it got us and them no where....

we allowed Vietnam to participate in the global economy and they voluntarily came to the party.

Protectionism just results in retaliation elsewhere and increases the costs for consumers. It isn't like this hasn't been tried before in a million different ways.

as opposed to:
1) keeping the status quo
2) leave unemployment at record highs and have people collect welfare checks
