Semantics... yet again?

Satellite galaxies are galaxies that are satellites of other galaxies.

Globular clusters are non-galaxies that are satellites of other galaxies.

If the certain satellite galaxies were smaller, rounder, and older... would they no longer be called satellite galaxies?

Or is the globular definition dependent on where an object is formed, and not it's age and motion relative to a galaxy?
