Who cares if a band does it for money or not.

If you like it listen to it , if you don`t then don`t.

Not exactly a difficult concept

Urbans right, but I doubt anyone will listen to it, its only been said a few hundred times before...
 
I listen to some really populare banRAB and don't give a **** if anyone says anything about it! I've always been a sum fan and I like their new cd too-- and then what about your really popular old school stuff like aerowsmith and led zeppelin? would you not listen to it just because pretty much everyone else does, even your parents? oh and another one is coldplay, got very popular but I liked their new cd even more than their old one, even though it was insanely popular. Oh and yeah I just remerabered the beatles and the beach boys. Sorry, I kind of just lost my train of thought and started remerabering stuff, but you get my drift...
 
not all pop, but the majority. But selling out is more defined as starting off small and then getting big for the $ etc....
most of these pop stars now a days are big right from the get go, so I guess they are natural born sellouts.....
 
A band doing it just for money doesn`t have to make someone crap, I look at it like this

Band in it for the money - Sex Pistols = good
Band not in it for money - The Levellers = rubbish

I prefer to take each band individually rather than just lump them all together
 
Tut tut Anarchy, have you not learned? Music is music, no matter what genre. Just because its the more popular genre doesnt make it all fake and only in it for the money.
 
wasn't saying that...was saying that there are alot of PEOPLE who get into music not to express themselves or make music for the hell of it...becuz they wanna be famous and have lots of money...nice dream and everything, but when people ditch their bandmerabers to do that*ehm* *Gwen Stefani* eeeehhhmmm*
then I think it wrong..those types are Sellouts.....and like David Lee Roth and such....
