Selling my Tmobile phone, keep sim card?

I'm selling my Tmobile phone to someone on Craigslist today, i cant afford the monthly payment anymore.

I am just going to let it go to collections, whatever...

Will the person I'm selling it to be able to activate it ok? My service shut off today due to not paying th bill.


And do I take my sim card out and keep it?
