selecting someone from ur contacts in the texting screen

hello i have the motorola android from verizon, when i receive a funny text i want to foward it i know to long click the text, and choose forward,, but how i insert someone from my contacts in the box..
 
if you're using the stock messaging app, just start typing the name of the contact at the top and it should show them. if you're using handcent sms, you just click the + sign.
 
hello. that's the first thing i tried and it just doesn't work, so then i tried holding my finger on it and all it takes me to is INPUT METHOD..
