the one huge thing here that i would personally want to find out about considering that these just 'may be" the underlying reason FOR any siezure like activity and some of the other symptoms too, the lesions themselves?? just what DO the lesions actually consist of? how were they described word for word in your MRI and did that MRI also use contrast too?
there just ARE many different forms/types of actual leasions that can be much more impactful than others? the thing here is, i have still never ever acctually ahd ANY lesions of any shape or kind found in my manhy brain scans over the years despite actually getting the 'classic migrane with aura sine i was only 13,like the second i hit puberty? i am now 49 and no 'migrane lesions' are ever there at all? i have heard of other people being told by usually neurologists too that 'they have" migrane lesions? but hinestly, whe n i just look at how bad my ongoing migrane history was whe there was nothing yet even created like the abortives are now and suffered for nine long agonizing years with no way to treat, just suck them up and ride them out crap? i would THINK if there just wertre real actual 'lesions' connected to any migrnae activity that i would have most certainly have 'shown' them or one or something here by now? but nothing there? it just makes me wonder here exactly what 'type' of lesions you have there at all?
there can be like white matter lesions that really are "filled" with 'nothing' that simply 'appear' as little spots on films but there also very much can forms of real vascular types of lesions that one can have and also be simply born with that are globs of either venous fed vessels or the more impactful arterial ones? while what I had been born with was actually IN my spinal cord, most of these types of vascular ones are much more commopnly found within the brain and not so much spinal cord? mine was what is called a cavernous hemangioma that is kind of my 'birthmark' that simply formed within my c spine level spinal cord. it just showed up on my very fisrst ever MRI i had for what was a herniated disc in my c spine? this was impacting things neurologically and got much worse after it simply had to be removed from my cord because it was bleeding andf i was simply running out of cordspace and would eventually have become paralyzed?
these are just 'some' of the 'possibles here when it comes to even being dxed with ANY real 'leasion" per MRI? i personally think you simply need to ask the doc what these so called 'lesions' are EXACTLY so YOU just know too? i have just never really understood hving migranes and having some stupid
lesion" also in the brain when i personally have had these excruciating things like my whole life and many brain scans after i developed an aneurysm too in 05 and not ONE sinlgle 'migrane "lesion" was there at all(neither does my mom who gets these too?)? and the mere fact your neuro stated these were only "probably caused' by your migranes??? i just wanted to let you know that there just can be MANY different things found anywhere within that whole CNS(brain thru spinal cord) that are actually referred to as mere 'lesions' that can simply be much much more impactful depending on just what THAT particular 'lesion' consists of and where it is just located too?
if you do not yet have any and all copies of any and all types of scans or any other real testing reports from tests/scans that have been done on you, i would VERY very highly recommend that you just make some phone calls to all the places that have done the scans or just showing up at the facilitys is quicker, but ask for your OWN copies of ALL reports. this truely IS the ONLY real way to assure yourself that you just really ARE actually even being told about everything that WAS a real hard finding upon the films that trust me here, not all specialists esp will actually even tell us about in our own reports that are IN our bodies? its unfortunetly very true and happens way too often out there. alot also depends upon what lack of real experience an7y actual even specialist HAS with what they would even BEGIN to know WAS a real rare siolid finding too? i went thru THAT crap with two cluelsess NSs and finally found number three who just HAD true experience treating hundreds of what i had in many patients over his 30 some years. some specialists just are pretty clueless at times and do NOT always even HAVE the level of real knowledge in particular areas that YOU just may need too kinda thing? not all are even remotely created equal, so "their impressions" could be dead on or wayyy off base depending. this just makes even being able to actually even read thru your own MRI reports just THAT much morte crucial.
but anytime you esp are dealing with any ongoing medical situation, you just HAVE to keep your own copies of ALL testing done. the reports just are a part of your own medical history and you have every right to have copies for your own medical file you should be just keeping on yourself at home too?
also obtaining like at least once a year, all of ypour own copies of your medical records too from ewvery treating doc REALLY helps YOU to actually know what 'his impressions" actually are about your condition(S) and what other little goldmines of info you may find in there too about alot of things that are just in the clinic notes that every doc, by law simply has to make after every patient he sees that also goes into your files too? i just have alot of major medical issues and for me, the only real way i can simply stay on top of everything IS by getting all records like once a year from all docs and ALWAYS obtaining my own copies of all test reports as soon as the doc has them? all you have to do from here on out once you get everything updated is just ask your doc for any copies of like an MRI you had or even blood labs done? anything. this just keeps YOU more on top of your own situation.
but get your hands on that MRI report that described the lesions and if you could, simply type out that summary at the end where all hard findings just go, but word for word as that rad wrote it since how things are worded in rad reports really can matter alot in some cases. i am just really curious about how the lesions were even described there. just DO stay on top of all your records and those test results tho. just crucial in an ongoing situation like yours is. good luck, FB
