I'm indecisive about the two. I prefer the sonic games over the mario games, but I know the snes has more games to choose from. Especially when it comes to rpgs, even though I don't play a lot of role playing games.
Also, I'm aware that I can get most games on the wii's virtual console, though I just think it would be cooler to own the original console. However, the rpgs I want on snes are quite expensive from what I hear (chrono cross and final fantasy III).
Could someone suggest some most own titles for both the genesis and snes?

Sega Genesis--Ristar, Earthworm Jim games, Jurassic Park, Power Rangers: Mighty Morphin (The Movie), Mortal Combat, Street Fighter games...Sega rocks.

My favorite console ever is the SNES. I say get it because it has a large collection of games and great ones at that.

me and my family just cannot get enough of Dr. Mario, NES. We play every holiday for years. Its a tradition. I wind up leaving after midnight and almost everyone is asleep
