In 2003 I suffered an annular tear at L5-S1, and a compressed disc at L4 but was not diagnsed until 2005 via a discogram. After 2 years of being over looked and deemed fine by the insurance doctors [workers comp case] I continue to suffer. My case has be so convoluted and entangled until I battle with severe clinical depression and extreme chronic pain. My left leg muscles have athrophied and is very weak. I have nurabness in my first 3 toes with pain in heel. I suffer 24/7 with dull pain in back, burning sometimes throbbing pain in legs aching in stomach and hips. It's the worst when my cycle is coming. No, I don't take anything stronger than liquid Advil and I try not to take it unless I'm sitting or standing for a long time, and I try to avoid it if possible. To keep myself busy I volunteer but I'm so fatigued from the pain, somethimes I want to just lay down and die... But today I'm up and fighting.
Now, I've finally found a doctor to help me but after almost 6 years of being in this condition will an IDET procedure help me recover? Is my nerve damage reversable? Thank you.
