Seek advice on a mild form of asthma

I would STRONGLY suggest finding another doctor who specializes in this. I brought up asthma to my regular doctor a year ago as I was feeling horrible, very tired, breathless, nauseasous alot. He listened to my lungs and said "oh you dont have it your not wheezing". So i went all last year and part of this year feeling more & more horrible until i could barely breathe and my nausea getting worse and for longer perioRAB of time. I decided to go out on my own and saw an allergy/asthma doctor. Right away i was diagnosed with asthma. I also had acid reflux, post nasal drip, and all of these things affected me to the point of this happening. I was put on a bunch of things such as a bunch of antibiotics and the Advair. Now the advair didnt help much as i was feeling ok but still not feeling great. I would go weekly and not much of a change so decided to lend me her nebulizer for a few days. It worked much much better for me than the inhalers and she decided to give me a new one to use at home. All in all it does work for me much better than the inhaler. I was told to use it until this week and then back to the inhaler next week so we will see what happens. I did have what I believe to have some minor attacks last year. During these times i was extremely tired, winded, and nauseas and always seemed to happen during important events or vacations which really bummed me out. I am so thankful that i now know what my problem is. That said, i would definitely go to a doctor who knows what they are doing (the general practitioner that i went to was old fashioned and obviously didnt know anything about this). Also one that will work with you to find the underlying problems to make you feel better and not just give you stuff to cover up the problems. Dont let any doctor tell you your symptoms are in your head or make you feel that you are depressed or that it is anxiety. If this doctor doesnt specialize in this chances are he does not know what he is talking about. I did think it was anxiety at first but after not being able to breathe i knew it was something more. Funny thing is after i went back to my regular doctor to tell him (i couldnt wait to tell him) he actually smirked and told me "oh those breathing tests could be off". Can you believe that?? I think not because when i went to the specialist i could barely breathe.
Hope this helps

yes a new primary doctor but also a doctor who specializes in allergies/asthma who can help him as i dont think a primary doctor will be the best thing for this.
