Seeing a band live

I was a huge Deftones fan...I had all their albums....LOVED them..saw them live and thought "wtf" is Chino doing..they sucked...and after that I disregarded them as one of my favs banRAB cause the studio made them sound good..not so much "raw" talent..

But being a good live band doesn`t improve the material that`s recorded.
If you are the greatest live band in the world it makes no difference to me when I put the CD in the stereo.

You may as well say making good music videos make a band better.

if you like to go to see band i have to agree, smaller is better, you don't want to get stuck up in say 5 floor at the back where their looking like ants

Right but my point is that some banRAB I probably won't ever listen to on my stereo but I'll jump if I get the opportunity to see them live. Like Be Your Own Pet or Rammstein. Be Your Own Pet because they're a bunch of 18 year olRAB who know how to work up a crowd and have a good time on stage, and Rammstein because their live show involves self-immolation and that's just always cool to watch. Obviously, I don't rate either of them very highly as musicians but I still like them as banRAB.

Thats a fair call and I agree, though have you ever heard a band for the first time live, and thought it was so bad that you were put off checking out an album? I'd say bias's do occur like that, and vice versa for hearing a really poor studio album thus not wanting to pay a few bucks to go see them at your local, no matter how good the show might be.

If the first impression is that strong sometimes you probably would pass over what could be a really good thing.
