See the first five minutes of AVP Requim

Wow, was looking forwad to this film anyways, and that 5 minute teaser makesme wana see it even more, looks like it'll be a fun movie to go see.
 
i have been waiting for this film for a while now!! cant wait for it. the films have got much better as the year has gone on, i believe this will be a good start to 2008 film wise
 
Considering the amount they've crammed in there, the film will be an hour long tops!
Nice and dark compared to the first but they're still messing with the Alien gestation period with a super-fast growing Predalien that's convenient for the plot. Still, intrigued to see the rest.
 
The trailer, although called "The First 5 Minutes", has been confirmed by one of the directors as being just a summing up of the start of the film in 5 minutes. There are plenty of scenes missing and the music isn't proper yet, so it's basically a 5 minute teaser. This is not how you will see it in the film.

The BBFC have rated the trailer as 12A and the film as 15. Obviously the trailer they had submitted to them was not the red band one from America...!

And the films official name accodring to the BBFC... "AVPR - Aliens Vs. Predator Requiem". I like how the original was Alien Vs. Predator, and this one is Aliens. Wonder what the third wil be called....! Alien 3 Vs. Predator?!

What an abysmally crap title.
What's the point of preceding the title with the initials 'AVPR'?
What on earth is AVPR meant to mean in any sort of context?
It's not as though it's going to be some kind of military codename in the script of the actual film is it? So why do that?
If we can read the title then what's the point of preceding it with it's own initials?

AVPR? It's not meant to be the name of a boy band.

Imagine if Hollywood used that naming convention for all their classic films....
'GWTW - Gone with the Wind'
'BCATSK - Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid'
'BOTRK - Bridge on the River Kwai'

If they're using corny, crap, Cheesey methoRAB of giving the film a title, then I'm not feeling that optimistic about the film itself now.
Now I've just got the feeling that it's just going to be another mindless shoot-em-up and not going to be much better as a film than the first Alien versus Predator film was.

Fans of both franchises have been screaming out for better treatments of the franchise, with more depth, characterisation, and a strong film all round. But now it feels like it's just going to be like another film that watches more like a video game.
