PUNNY POETRESS

an isolated stretch of? the parkway. The weather was horrific - torrential rains, high wind, booming thunder and lightning. As scared as she was driving, she was even more fearful of pulling onto the side of the road being all by herself. All of a sudden, a vehicle came up behind her and slammed into the back of her car causing her to do a complete 360 degree turn. Luckily, she managed to regain control of her car as she hopelessly watched the faint tailights of the attacking vehicle speed away from the scene of the accident. Completely unnerved, she slowly drove her damaged car over to the road's shoulder, locked all the doors, and put on her blinking emergency lights. It was several hours before the storm ended and a highway patrolman stopped to assist her.

The woman told the patrolman exactly what happened and was quite upset that in the dark stormy night she was unable to see even the slightest description of the vehicle who had hit her and ran, And, since it was an isolated area, there were no witnesses to be found.

The highway patrolman reassured her of her concerns saying, "Don't you worry another moment; I can promise you we will find out who did this to you."

PUZZLE QUESTION: How will the highway patrolman figure out who was the "hit and run" driver??
