Is Gnutella secure? Is it possible that if I share my mp3's or other files there may be my ISP or local police recording and scanning my data transmissions?

As of today I was put on notice about my account at Road Runner It was reported to me that my isp has been receiving complaints about my downloads and shared files. Are there steps to make myself unknown to my isp and the copywrite lawyers and police?
steps ive taken so far are masked my ip adress with zone alarm
and ive scanned for trojans and used a program called adaware to detect spyware.
Any other suggestions?
i want to share and download what i want with out fear of losing my computer and isp

heres a copy of the letter i got from my isp
Mr. _______, per our conversation, RR has received a complaint from the
Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. on behalf of their clients
(motion picture production and distribution companies) regarding the
unauthorized distribution of a number of copyrighted motion pictures. RR has
identified the source of said violation by tracing the IP address back to you.

Such copyright violations are also considered abuse of RR's Acceptable Use
Policy (AUP). If you will reply to this message that you have read and
understand RR's AUP (posted online) and that you agree to comply with it in
the future, I''ll close my file on this matter.

If you have questions for the MPAA, you may call their anti-piracy operation
at (818)726-8127 or email them at [email protected]

Thank you for your prompt attention to this, Mr. ________
