Season 3 Discussion Thread #1- Because we had a good year, even if it's only May

 I think Jenna/Tracy would be a little too crazy for me. Can you imagine their potential children? *shudders*

Katka, that is a great quote. I haven't rewatched any of the S3 episodes in awhile. I should go back and watch Generalissimo. I, too, love it when Alec does multiple voices or characters.

I totally agree. Kenneth is such an innocent character, he needs someone who doesn't "mistread" him. Jenna and Tracy on the other side are both so nuts that it actually could work. :D

Yeah, I'm not going to have time to watch them until this weekend, but yesterday was the only day I have enough time this week to go to Best Buy. I figured I'd just get it then and hold onto it until I can watch stuff this weekend.

I have to go buy mine. I'll try to get it tomorrow, but I don't know if I'll have time to watch it.

 I love that episode! Plus any instance where they get to call on Alec Baldwin's wide range of characters and accents is really fun. Like I loved it in season 2 when he did the therapy session with Tracy. :lmao:

That quote was so great! Oh, Jack. We like to think he's fairly grounded in reality, but then he goes off and says things like that.

Glad you're enjoying the season so far!

I watched the Generalissimo eppy yesterday and I love the Jack´s plotline there. And I think Salma´s accent is cute even though I hardly understand her.lol

And I love that Jack changed the NBC news and put babies pictures there:lol:

Im loving this season.

Jenna/Kenneth gives me the creeps a little. Probably, b/c he's so innocent and naive. And Jenna, needless to say, is not.

I'd like to see a long term Kenneth love interest though. That would be fun! And potentially cute.

I got my season 3 DVDs today! :yay: I haven't watched any of the special features yet, but I'm very excited. :D

I just can't wait until we get the S3 dvd, need to sit down and have a proper marathon

I think my only problem with S2 might be that it's short. :( Again, I have to watch the DVDs.

Welcome, Danke! The Oprah episode was definitely a great one. I loved that Oprah turned out to be a "spunky tween."

I can respect the Jenna/Frank shipping. I'm not a big shipper of them, but I think they have a hilarious dynamic. I'm personally more of a fan of Jenna/Kenneth, though that relationship would be just as messed up as the Jenna/Frank one, only in different ways.

Yay! Glad you loved the end of season 3 and are excited for season 4, Katka. It's always great to bring more people on board with this amazing and under-appreciated show.

Unfortunately, I do see it that way. I think I remember reading somewhere that all of the cast members (or at least, the principle ones) had contracts through 6 seasons, and I don't see it going much beyond that. As sad as that makes me, I have to agree with Ele that most shows go bad after about 5. I'd hate watching 30 Rock die a slow and painful death more than I'd hate it if it was canceled after 6 seasons. It'll be interesting to see, though, how it does over the next couple of seasons and what the actors say about staying on it. I agree that once Alec goes, the show's over, and I think he's the one I see as leaving first.

I definitely need to rewatch this season to be able to judge it and write in the thread. Right now I can't rank the seasons. I love season 1 but season 2 has one of my favourite episodes and season 3 had some great guests on. All seasons rocked. :D

Somehow I see it like that. I mean I don't think Alec will do the show forever, there have been rumours about him going into politics in 2012 and such stuff, I don't believe they're all true but I do believe that he will end up in politics. And when Alec goes the show is done. And maybe Tina will think 6 seasons are enough too, cause let's face it, most series get worse after season 5.
