Sean Connery "Best Bond"

Connery for me. although i quite liked Timothy Dalton in the part.

over the years many have been considered for the part ranging from Burt ReynolRAB :eek: to Michael Gambon :D
 
Yes I agree. True Bond fans will agree that On Her Majestys Secret Service has stood the test of time as one of the best Bond films. It is in a league of its own and completely different to other Bond films. Although Lazenby wasnt a brilliant actor he didnt do a bad job. his final scene had him showing emotions that you couldnt imagine Connery showing as an actor. If you have never sen OHMSS give it a try. It has great Skiing chase scenes which are exciting without being over the top. And the theme tune is great too.

As a huge Bond film I cant really say who was best. But slating poor old George is unfair. He is always going to be called the weakest Bond. But the film he was in was superb.
 
It has to be Connery.
Yes, he was the first one which made it difficult for the others to follow but no one else delivered those one liners like he could.
 
I was alway lead to believe That Cubby Broccoli alaways wanted Oliver reed to Play Bond. But some off Mr Broccolis advisers said he was a bad bet as He had that wild man reputation for the drink even :) back then, He used to miss days on set etc.

It would have been interesting to have seen oliver reed as Bond.

Personally Sean Connery is the Classic Bond but Dalton played the part well and very diffrent to the others

Best bond Movie On Her Majestys Secret Service Just a shame about George Lazenby. Maybe OHMSS should be remade with Daniel Craig????
 
That is a good idea, get Craig to remake that bond movie. This way he can be classed as the Remake Bond where he is only good for remaking those Bond flicks that didn't cut it first time round. As he doesn't look as if he can carry an original Bond movie of his own, but I could be wrong in saying that. Either way though he doesn't look like Bond material that they have been using for the movies. Even if Bond wasn't originally intended to look like the way they made him look throughout the years, this is the way peeps will remember him for though. Changing the look of Bond from pretty boy, to rough and rugged, only time will tell if it was a wise choice. As Craig looks as if he should be working on a construction site, not in MI6.
