Seabiscuit - Overrated

Anybody else agree with me?

I thought it was schmaltzy nonsense, compelled by a desire to inform non-Americans of the great sadness Americans experienced during an economic depression; more countries have been through worse.

I felt ambivalent about the acting, the script was rather simple, maudlin and over-sentimental at times.

I fail to see the attraction.

I think "it does what it says on the tin".
It's a nice film and I enjoyed it. But the overratedness (!) is nothing compared to other movies.

Its been hyped to at least break even, as Bro says its not the first, and its not going to be the last


Mind you it could have been a lot better, the actors really wernt trying (neither was the horse - little sweat )
